The 2025 GMC Sierra 2500HD is available in seven trims: Pro, SLE, SLT, AT4, Denali, AT4X, and Denali Ultimate. The Pro trim features black front recovery hooks, black grille, and 17-inch painted steel wheels. Moving up to the SLE adds chrome elements including the front grille and door handles, along with 17-inch machined aluminum wheels with Silver painted accents. The SLT enhances the exterior with body-color door handles, chrome mirror caps, and 18-inch machined aluminum wheels with Dark Grey Metallic accents. The AT4 elevates off-road capability with a 2-inch factory lift kit, 18-inch gloss-black wheels, and vertical red recovery hooks. The Denali showcases luxury with its laser-etched chrome grille, 20-inch polished aluminum wheels, and chrome assist steps. The AT4X maximizes off-road performance with a 3.5-inch factory lift kit, 18-inch beadlock-capable wheels, and Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires. At the top of the range, the Denali Ultimate features an exclusive Vader chrome grille, 20-inch ultra-bright machined aluminum wheels with High Gloss Black painted accents, and power-retractable assist steps with LED perimeter lighting.

The Sierra 2500HD offers two powerful engine options. The standard 6.6L V8 gas engine produces 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque. For maximum capability, the available 6.6L Duramax Turbo-Diesel V8 generates 470 horsepower and 975 lb-ft of torque. Both engines pair with an Allison 10-speed automatic transmission, providing smooth power delivery across various driving conditions. The gas engine serves as a cost-effective option for general-purpose use, while the Duramax diesel excels in heavy-duty towing applications.

The Sierra 2500HD delivers exceptional capability across its lineup. With the diesel engine, it achieves a maximum towing capacity of 22,500 pounds, while the gas engine provides a maximum payload of 3,979 pounds. The Denali and Denali Ultimate trims feature enhanced trailering technology with 14 camera views for precise control. The AT4X incorporates Multimatic DSSV dampers for advanced off-road performance. Four-wheel drive with an automatic locking rear differential is available across all trims, enhancing traction and control in challenging conditions.

SLE trims and above feature a 13.4-inch diagonal touchscreen infotainment system and 12.3-inch diagonal digital instrument cluster. The Denali and Denali Ultimate models come with full-grain leather seating and 16-way power adjustments. The Denali Ultimate adds Premium Forge perforated leather seats with massage function. All trims include Google built-in compatibility with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Interior color options vary by trim, with choices including Jet Black, Graystone/Dark Walnut, and Dark Walnut/Jet Black.

The GMC Pro Safety package comes standard on all trims, featuring Forward Collision Alert and Automatic Emergency Braking. The Denali and Denali Ultimate trims incorporate HD Surround Vision with 14 camera views. SLT and higher trims offer Adaptive Cruise Control. SLE and above trims include Enhanced Forward Collision Alert with Following Distance Indicator.
